1. Does Enos work for all animal species facility ?
Enos currently handles the medical record-keeping of all USDA regulated laboratory animal species which are required to be tracked individually.

2. How much does the software cost ?

Each facility’s requirements are different. Please contact us so that we can provide you with a quotation

3. Does BSI provide training on the use of the software ?
Yes, BSI offers Training services for Users, Super Users, Functional Leads, and Administrators of BSI.

4. What is the average time needed to train client users to functionally use the software ?
Basic training is on average five full days.

5. What support and maintenance services are available ?
Clients under support and software maintenance contracts benefit from our telephone hot-line Helpdesk support and fax/email support during BSI's normal days and hours of business operation [9.00 am to 6.00 pm EST weekdays].

6. Is there a web-version of the software ?

The software is currently available in client/server and terminal server environments. If installed in a terminal server environment, users located at different sites will indeed be able to access a central server and database via internet.

7. How long has the software been in use ?
The software has been in use by one of our clients since 2004.

8. Can existing animal data be migrated into the BSI database ?
BSI developers will work with the new client to understand how the current data is structured and assist the client in evaluating and preparing the legacy data to be mapped onto the BSI database.

9. Can data be easily uploaded to BSI or will there be extensive data entry required ?
BSI developers will do their best to help the client map and migrate existing data to the new system in BSI and hence minimize manual data entry.

10. Can multiple IDs be linked to one individual ?
Yes, an individual can have records containing a tattoo or microchip ID, USDA #, a name or bar code #.

11. Can updates to be done in batch ?
Yes, updates can be done on individuals or on groups selected according to multiple criteria.

12. Is all data in BSI searchable or just specific fields ?
All fields containing standardized data are searchable. The only fields which are not searchable are free text fields.

13. Does BSI allow for the generation of reports or do all queries have to be downloaded into Excel ?
Reports can be generated by BSI provided that the report lay-out has been specified by the client. Results of dynamic off-the-fly queries can currently be exported to Excel. BSI developers are working on other types of reporting tools.

14. Can BSI be used to track feed, bedding costs, labor charges, direct and indirect costs for cost analysis and management ?
Yes, the software contains fields and functionalities to input cost and pricing data.

15. Can documents be scanned into an animal record or does data have to be input by hand ?
Scanned documents or photos saved in standard formats (.bmp, jpg…) can be attached to a specific record in BSI.
